An Australian resident originally from Guam asked me to create a custom map of the island — a way to stay connected to the place where their story began. They wanted something that captured the character of Guam’s coastline and the sense of home it still holds for them.

We focused on the island’s defining shapes and features, highlighting the contours and landmarks that carry personal meaning. The aim was to create a piece that felt both geographically true and emotionally grounded, reflecting their enduring connection to the island.

The finished map is a thoughtful reminder of their roots — a personalised artwork that brings a piece of Guam into their life in Australia, honouring the place that shaped their early years.
